Valentine’s Day is less than one week away. If you haven’t made plans yet, relax. We’ve come up with a couple of ideas for you so all you have to do is pick up the phone or go online and secure your spot. But do it now.
Release her inner ballerina
Is there a more tragically romantic story than Swan Lake? The twists and turns leading to an afterlife love affair—it’s romance on steroids! How about taking your princess to watch the Moscow Festival Ballet Company presentation of the classic tale?
From the moment Prince Siegfried lays eyes on Princess Odette, to the evil sorcerer’s spell to the prince’s accidental proposal to another woman, she’ll be delighted by the fabulous stage effects and choreography. Showtime is 7:30 p.m., February 13 at Alberta Bair Theater. Buy your tickets online, now.
The old fall-back: Dinner and a movie
Valentine’s Day dinner is a reliable go-to when you’ve run out of time to plan anything else. But you’ll be smart to make reservations now to avoid getting locked out of some of Billings’ favorite romantic restaurants.
If you’re new in town, try The Fieldhouse, Bistecca at The Granary (with a casino downstairs!), Lilac or Bistro Enzo. The Montana Club is featuring “four days of romance” with a special menu and other goodies.
Back up that dinner with a movie and you’ve hit the exacta! There are several motion pictures set for a February release and it’s too early for reviews, but “The 15:17 To Paris” sounds promising. It’s a Clint Eastwood produced-and-directed picture based on the book “The 15:17 to Paris: The True Story of a Terrorist, a Train, and Three American Soldiers,” by Jeffrey E. Stern.
If you prefer romantic flicks, consider going home after dinner, cuddling up on the sofa and renting some of our all-time fave romantic movies:
- The Notebook
- Gone with the Wind
Or, if you haven’t watched Outlander on STARZ (and available at amazon.com), it’s so worth a Valentine’s Day binge.
Relax with a couples massage
Even if you don’t suffer from aching muscles, a massage—especially when someone you love is on the table next to yours—might be just the ticket this Valentine’s Day in Billings. Serenity Massage offers couples massage or, go all out and buy each other the Valentine’s Retreat at Sanctuary Spa and Salon. You’ll both enjoy a 60-minute massage, 60-minute facial, 60-minute pedicure and a free gift.
Hope your Valentine’s Day 2018 is PACKED with romance!
