Here’s what’s happening in June in Billings

    Yup, you read that right – June is right around the corner. Kids out of school, weather heating up and the volume of ways to enjoy life in Billings amping up. Circle some dates – it’s going to be a busy month.


    June 1- August 31

    Alive After Five

    Billings’ outdoor concert series kicks off June 1 at Pub Station with Pinky and the Floyd. On the 8th, head to Last Chance Cider Mill to hear Dirty Power. Catch Exit 53 at Comet 1882 on June 15 and on the 22nd it’s the Last Revel at Pita Pit. On the 29th, Café Italia is hosting the Bucky Beaver Ground Grippers. Concerts start at 5 p.m. and end at 8 p.m.


    June 2

    Funky Bunch

    For its 15th year, the NOVA Center for the Performing Arts brings us Funky Bunch, the center’s high school improv group. Get details online, here.


    June 2 – August 25

    Firefly Outdoor Movies in the Park

    Catch a free movie in the park! Tonight it’s “Moana,” Disney’s animated musical fantasy-adventure film. The movie starts at dusk but you should get there early to have dinner, play on the playground and watch the kids get their faces painted. This one happens at Veteran’s Park in Billings. On the 16th you can enjoy “Sing” at Sacajawea Park and on the 30th, they’ll be screening “Storks” at Optimist Park.

    Movies Under the Stars

    Billings Kiwanis brings you Movies Under the Stars and proceeds benefit local charities. But, admission is free. Tonight, catch “Up” at Will James Middle School. On the 17th, it’s “Pete’s Dragon” at Lewis & Clark Middle School. June 30 is Harry Potter Dress-up Night and you can enjoy “Fantastic Beasts” at Riverside Middle School. Get details online, here.

    Yellowstone Highland Games

    Be Scottish for a day at the Yellowstone Highland Games at ZooMontana. Enjoy events of the Scottish Highland Athletics. Gee, I wonder if the Fraziers will be there?

    Garth Brooks World Tour with Trisha Yearwood

    It’s about time Mr. Brooks remembers his friends in Billings – hasn’t been here in nearly 20 years. He and Trisha will be appearing at Rimrock Auto Arena and you can buy tickets online here.

    Strawberry Festival

    Get to Downtown Billings between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for the annual Strawberry Festival. Enjoy fresh produce, arts and crafts, food trucks, live entertainment and, naturally, everything strawberry-ish. Get the details online at

    Sip & Sizzle

    Golf Fore Kids’ Sake

    A benefit for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Yellowstone County, the fifth annual Golf Fore Kids’ Sake is set to tee off at Eagle Rock Golf Course. Four-person teams will enjoy a box lunch, green fees, range balls and carts. Appetizers follow the tournament with a raffle and prizes awarded. Get your team together and register now at

    Symphony in the Park

    The 45th annual Symphony in the Park is ready to go and you’re invited. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an evening of music under the stars. Food will be available. The fun starts at 4 p.m. with the Billings Community Band Concert taking to the stage at 5, the Young Conductors’ Contest at 6:45 and the Billings Symphony Orchestra Concert begins at 7 p.m. at Pioneer Park.
